Isola is a leading global material sciences company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets laminate materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards, which provide the physical platforms for the semiconductors, passive components, and connection circuitry that power and control virtually all modern electronic products.
100 years ago Isola started as a small Düren based company that produced electro-insulating material. Today, the Isola Group S.a.r.l is a global material sciences company focused on designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepregs used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards.

The high-performance materials are used in a diverse range of electronic end-markets including applications in computers, networking and communications equipment, high-end consumer electronics, as well as in the advanced automotive, aerospace, military and medical markets.

Isola invests in research and development to create industry-leading products to meet the most demanding performance requirements of its customers, the printed circuit board fabricators, and the designers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs. Ten manufacturing facilities and three research centers located in Asia, Europe and the United States underline the company’s global presence.

In Düren about 320 people are employed who are constantly seeking for ways to improve the products, the processes and the service quality. Isola uses the methodology of Lean Management and Six Sigma to reduce their cycle times and to improve the quality. Simultaneously, the company provides a safe working environment, reduces the amount of waste and improves its CO2 footprint.
